| Why is the Nintendo Wii outselling the PS3 and Xbox360? I have played all 3 systems and they all seemed fun. The Wii was DEFINITELY the weakest graphics-wise, though. It seemed more geared toward guys, women and people who are enthralled by the new controller design (which I also think is cool). 1.Is it the price difference? 2.Is there something I am missing about the other 2 systems that sucks? 3.Is the answer just that the Wii is for more casual gamers whereas the other two are for more hardcore geeks like me? Please don't bash me for the comment about women being interested in the Wii. That statement is based on my observation that 5 or 6 adult women (very small sample size) I know who previously HATED video games all own a Wii now. |
| I think it is because its more appealing to the average consumer. And the price difference. notice how the PS3 is in last place in the console wars and it costs the most. Xbox 360 is in the middle and the Wii is at the top with the least expensive console. Lets not take anything away from Nintendo though. They have fun easy to learn games with an innovative design to their console. Xbox 360 has Xbox Live and the best games on their console. PS3 is a monster console. Built in Blue-Ray player with some upcoming features like "Home" and better games along the way. I'm an Xbox gamer and love every minute of it. But i can see how the Wii can be fun and enjoyable. |

| 1. Yes the teenager created and provided porn. I personally hope it was done tastefully. 2. You see a car wreck caused by a drunk driver and 5 people are mortally injured and you can only help one. Are you responsible for 4 counts of assisting murder? Of course not. Unless you are a vet then how can you know if you are helping the deer? As for ending it's suffering (if you don't have a shotgun, and you want to end it's suffering) you can always run over it again or beat it to death with your tire iron. Both of those options could hasten its death therefore ending its suffering. 3. If the guy didn't participate in the theft then he/she is certainly not an accessory to theft. One option is the guy could return it anonymously. What if the game sucked and nobody wanted it? Then the man who illegally took it could have possibly saved the charity money not having to pay for transportation, storage and disposal of the game. What if the charity got the game back and the game was the best one ever and the charity made some money? But the guy who ultimately received it played it so much they got carpel tunnel syndrome causing he/she years of excruciating pain? Wouldn't it have been better that the theft of the video game go undiscovered than for a guy to suffer needlessly because a charity wanted to make a couple more dollars? Should the guy who returned the game be held responsible? I mean getting carpel tunnel is a foreseeable outcome. My point is we can't predict the future so we shouldn't punish or hold responsible people for things that might or might not happen. In this construct anyway. |
